Paid Duties

The Barrie Police Service has adopted a written and/or electronic request format in order to register for pay duty services. Copies of these forms have been attached for your convenience.

Fax or email delivery of these forms are acceptable provided a reasonable time frame is allowed to fill the request. Last minute requests will be accommodated, but assured service is dependant upon notification times.

Clients who require a regular supply of officers’ services will be invoiced on a monthly basis.

The hourly rate is currently $61.00 per hour for Officers and $68.00 per hour for Sergeants and the minimum charge continues to be three (3) hours. In situations where services exceed the hour but not more than fifteen minutes, there will be no extra charge. Services that exceed a quarter hour will be billed on a half hour charge and services that exceed an extra half hour will be billed on a full hour basis.

Payment for pay duties will be by invoice, due on receipt.

In all instances a 15% administrative fee and HST is applied to each account.
