Message from the Chief of Police

Welcome the Barrie Police Service web site.

It is my pleasure to serve the citizens of Barrie as its eighth Chief of Police. I am extremely proud of the women and men of Barrie Police who through their dedicated service to the community ensure that it remains one of the safest places in Canada.

As a Service we continue to grow with our community and look forward to extending our partnerships with community groups, agencies and individuals. We will ensure our Service continues to provide excellent policing to the community through technology, staff training and effective resource deployment.

I would like to acknowledge the many volunteers and citizens of Barrie, who along with the members of the Service ensure that Barrie remains a great place to live, work, play and raise a family.
