The Barrie Police Service is currently accepting applications from Experienced Officers. Preference will be given to candidates with 4-8 years experience, however, all interested candidates should apply.

On Wednesday, January 4th, members of the Barrie Police Service and the Barrie Chapter of Special Olympics volunteered at the OHL "Big Ticket" Night by selling pucks and raising awareness for Special Olympics programs.

Yesterday Frere Andre Catholic School in Barrie surprised School Resource Officer PC Janet Schefter by presenting her with the over 255 pairs of mittens that they had collected over the past month.

On Wednesday December 21st, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., Barrie Police Sergeant Linda Moorehouse and Chief Neelin will be attending the Barrie Food Bank located at 7A George Street with a car full of donated food.

Barrie Police will officially welcome their three newest police officers at a Graduation Ceremony today.

Constables Blake Pyatt, Kristian Boehler, and Avneet Singh have just completed their training at the Ontario Police College and will be joining the ranks after Wednesday's Graduation Ceremony.
